APC Group, Yoruba Community Give Makinde Warm Welcome As He Resumes Office
A frontline group supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, known as Jami’yyar Yorubawan Arewa, along with the Yoruba Community in Kebbi State, gave Hon. Rotimi Makinde a rousing welcome as he resumed office as Chairman of the Governing Council of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic.
The groups’ gesture is a testament to Hon. Makinde’s reputation as a dedicated leader and his commitment to excellence.
The warm reception underscores the confidence and expectations that the community has in his leadership.
What’s more, Hon. Makinde’s appointment is particularly significant given his strong ties to the institution. As an alumnus of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, he made history by becoming the first non-indigene to serve as Student Union President, a testament to his leadership abilities and the trust placed in him by his peers.
This development is expected to further boost the institution’s academic standards and overall development, given Hon. Makinde’s expertise, experience, and deep understanding of the polytechnic’s dynamics.
