Lagos LG Poll: LASIEC Commences Election Material Distribution

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission has officially commenced the distribution of sensitive and non-sensitive election materials at the Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area on Saturday.

Ad-hoc staff engaged by LASIEC were seen actively organising and preparing the materials for onward movement to the 14 Local Council Development Areas that fall under the administrative purview of both Amuwo-Odofin and Oriade local governments.

The distribution centre at Amuwo-Odofin served as a central hub for the logistics, ensuring that all necessary items, from ballot papers to result sheets, were securely dispatched to their respective polling units.

The exercise, which began early on Saturday morning, is being closely monitored to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

Security personnel were also on ground to provide adequate protection for the materials and the ad-hoc staff.

Speaking on the development, a senior ad-hoc staff member overseeing the distribution, Mrs. Adeola Williams, expressed confidence in the arrangements.

“We are fully prepared and committed to ensuring that every polling unit receives its materials on time.

“Our goal is to facilitate a seamless electoral process, and the timely distribution of these materials is fundamental to achieving that objective. We have trained our staff thoroughly, and they are ready to ensure that the will of the people is accurately reflected through this democratic exercise,” she stated.
