Osun Govt Declares Monday June 12 Public Holiday
Osun State government has declared Monday June 12 as public holiday.
A press statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Adelani Baderinwa said the public holiday was to commemorate the 24th anniversary of June 13, 1999 Presidential election believed to have been won by the late M.K.O Abiola but was annulled by the General Ibrahim Babangida.
Governor Rauf Aregbesola and other governor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) consider June 12 as the true Democracy Day, against the May 29 declared by the Federal Government as the Democracy Day.
