My Message to Dr Deji Adeleke By Taiwo Ayantunji

It is so unfortunate that some people still don’t understand what freedom of speech and expression is all about in this day and age. I expressed my deep dissatisfaction and disappointment at the way senator Adeleke’s family members are trying to ignore the facts and casting doubt on any legitimate process or meaningful attempt to uncover the truth about the circumstances surrounding the late senator’s death and I was unnecessarily condemned and insulted for speaking out by a self –appointed social media critics and loyalist of the late senator in person of Dr. Adetunji.

It is not in my nature to respond to some ridiculous social media posting but ignoring rude, arrogant and pompous people like Dr. Adetunji is not the right way to prove maturity. Dr. Adetunji and other people like him deserve to be taught some basic concepts of human behavior and I will slightly go out of my way to teach him some manners. To start with, I chose not to show off my professional skills and accomplishment on social media as some of you did because I don’t believe in photo ops and unnecessary status update on social media.

I believe in living a simple, ordinary life and I’m very happy with my life. However, it is really sad that you have been practicing medicine for many years and you still don’t understand the procedure, timing and component of autopsy reports. It is just a shame that people like you don’t know that autopsy preliminary results are usually available within a few days. It also saddens my heart to see people like you suggesting that autopsy can’t reveal the amount of drugs in the system, let alone the cause of death will be drug overdose. I encourage you to go back to anatomy and physiology 101/ 102 and do some thorough review.

Nevertheless, I don’t blame you; I blame MDCN for allowing people like you to practice medicine in Nigeria. Nigeria is now a country of anything goes; you can go to Libya to study medicine and come back home to practice medicine. I’m glad to tell you that I’m going to start my residency training anytime soon and I will not be a clueless physician like you. Serubawon belongs to every one of us, not his family alone and we own him nothing than fulfilling our responsibility in finding out the truth about the circumstances surrounding his death. I encourage Dr. Adeleke to join us in this effort and stop playing with facts.

We all know that the reports of the autopsy conducted on the late senator is out and if the family don’t believe in the autopsy reports currently in the public domain, they need to show us their own autopsy reports. Senator Adeleke was a uniter, not a divider and the issue relating to his death is not PDP or APC issue; it is ‘Osun’ issue. The time is now to come together and uncover the truth about his death. To cap it all, Hon. Gboyega Oyetola is a true gentle man.He has nothing to do with senator Adeleke’s death and I encourage Mr. Fani Kayode and his agents of evil who are hell-bent in creating crisis atmosphere in our state to do something good with their time. Hon. Gboyega Oyetola is our next Governor by God grace and no amount of black propaganda can pull him down. We need a true gentle man like him to keep moving our state forward.
