NYCN Presents 8-Point Demand To Govt
The Nigeria Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) yesterday told the Federal Government to use the remaining 72 hours left before the proposed nationwide protests to mitigate the severe economic hardship.
The council has tabled an eight-point agenda to the government. They include transparency and accountability, healthcare access, education and skill development, agricultural support, youth intervention programmes, economic relief measures, national youth conferences and a meeting with the National Security Adviser (NSA).
President Sukubo SaraIgbe Sukubo, who spoke at a press conference, said they consulted with members at the local and state levels.
The group said: “We want to assure Mr. President that we will not disappoint him.
“We have made known our demands and we hope he will listen to us.” Vice President (North East) Bishop Douglas Kanatapwa, who read the text of the press conference, told President Bola Tinubu to ameliorate the economic hardship.
