Just In: Protest Breaks Out In University Of Ibadan Over Fee Hike, Power Rationing
Students of the University of Ibadan (UI) have taken to the streets, to protest the decision of the management regarding electricity supply, and fee hikes among others.
The protest which started in the late hours of Tuesday, continued on Wednesday with the students baring placards at the front of the university gate.
The protesters barricaded the main entrance of the Institution, preventing vehicular movement into the University.
Our correspondent who visited the school, saw students carrying placards, and sitting on the access road to the main gate.
Another set of students converged on the Trenchard Hall premises chanting various songs to register their protest.
