“I have never met Ogunelu who happens to be my great-grandfather and the children directly from him were so many and we can identify some of them , one of them happens to be Aloworinmada born in Ibadan at Ita olodo area around Aare Alasa Reconciliation Center, the first reconciliation center in Ibadan land.”
“We never met these people, but the story we have been hearing regarding them is making us look for facts.”
“Since we able to realize that he arrived at Somgbe in the 19th century and he has a lot of children, grand children great-grand children and great-great grandchildren, which means through the paternal or maternal lineage, I have my families around here in Somgbe.
“Through my son, the Mogaji Esin of our dynasty, Ogunelu Dynasty in Ibadaland,we have met with them, they accepted us and we are accepting them.
“This is a kind of fellowship which is of God’s interest and a fulfilment of the fact that we are not just being rhetorical about the command of God in the Q’uran and Bible, we are implementing it’s provisions which is the essence of being a practical Muslim.
“It is a sin when you profess things, you preach it to people and you are found lacking in implementing it yourself.”
“That God is giving us that opportunity to do it today, am full of joy and happiness and I believe that whatever good I may have in stock, at least, they will be able to share from it. Whatever good they too may have in stock, my children, grandchildren and other members of the family will share joyfully from it.
“People must look inward rather than outward, I never knew that the Olu of Somgbe happens to be my inlaw because his wife is from the Aloworin.”
“I want to do a lot of things to contribute to the development of Somgbe and I pray that God will give me the wherewithall. Without having people with a memorandum of understanding among ourselves, it will be impossible.
