Dr Bawale Calls For Adoption of One Man One Vote Principle To Consolidate Nation’s Democratic Governance

A  nominee of governor Rauf Aregbesola for commissioner and special Adviser, Doctor Adebisi Bawale has re echoed the need  for adoption of principle of one man one vote  to consolidate  the nation’s Democratic governance.
Dr Bawale who stated this when he appeared before the state house of assembly for his screening said electoral process needed for total overhauling of the system.
He called for application of technology in the conduct of election to capture all electorate with the time frame for the process to ensure that all electorates were captured within the period.
Dr Adebisi who is a lecturer at university of Ado Ekiti emphasised the need for electoral body to ensure periodic sensitization and enlightenment programme to equip electorate with nitty gritty of electoral regulations.
The nominee who promised to bring its age long experience to bear said the present administration that he state was  keen to socio economic development of the state .
He maintained that with the current economic situation,the state needed people of vast knowledge to be creative and think outside the box to enhance the state internally generated revenue.
Speaking on the nominee, the speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon  Najeem Salam described the nominee as right peg in a round hole,saying the nominee has intellectual capacity and academic competency as well as exposure to contribute significantly to development of the state.
Salam urged the nominee not to betray confidence reposed on him if he was confirmed by the house.
The speaker called on all nominees to always see their appointment as call to service rather than avenue for self aggrandizement.
It would be recalled that  governor Aregbesola  had been without Commissioners and Special Advisers since his inauguration for the second term in November 27, 2014.
