Again, Gunmen Kill Woman In Ekiti At Broad Daylight

Another broad daylight killing again occurred on Saturday morning in Ado-Ekiti , the Ekiti state capital.

This occurred as a middle-aged woman, whose identity has not been confirmed was gunned down by unknown assailants. The woman died instantly.

The incident occurred near the Federal Polytechnic, Continuing Education Center, off NTA Road, Ado Ekiti,

The victim was standing by the road when she was approached by the gunmen on a motorcycle.

Eyewitnesses said the assailants attempted to snatch the woman’s bag but when she resisted, they shot her and quickly fled the scene, causing panic around, as people ran for dear lives.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ekiti State Police, DSP Sunday Abutu, described the incident as a robbery.

DSP Abutu revealed that the victim’s bag contained ₦40,280, saying” her body has been taken to the morgue, and the police are actively pursuing the criminals involved.”.
