Boy, 14, Killed In London Sword Attack
UK Police have said a 14-year-old boy was killed in a sword attack in Hainault, East London, yesterday morning.
Four others were injured, including two police officers – local MP Wes Streeting called the police response “heroic”.
The other victims are all in hospital but are not thought to have life-threatening injuries. Police said the 36-year old suspect was arrested after being Tasered, and 22 minutes after they first received a call.
The suspect is in hospital after driving his van into a house as the attack began, and police have been unable to speak to him.
The incident is not being treated as terror-related – police said they have no sign of prior contact with him.
