Adeleke’s Death: Senator Alasoadura Urges Osun People, Nigerians To Take Solace
The Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Chief Tayo Alasoadura has expressed grief over the death of his colleague and first civilian governor of Osun state, Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke.
Alasoadura said the death of the lawmaker representing Osun West Senatorial District had robbed the Senate, Osun state and Nigeria of a quintessential and colourful politician, who contributed immensely to the sustainance of democracy and rule of law in the country.
The Chairman, Senate Commitee on Petroleum Resources(Upstream) lamented the untimely death of the Asiwaju of Edeland who laid a very solid foundation for Osun state as its pioneer civilian governor and also paid his due as a distinguished two-term lawmaker at the Senate.
He commisserated with his immediate family, the people of Ede land,Osun state, the National Assembly and Nigeria as a whole.
The former Commissioner noted that his death had created a vacuum in Osun politics, urging the people to take solace in the fact that he served his people and the nation meritoriusly.
He noted that Adeleke had left his footprints on the sands of time especially as a bridge-builder with friends across Nigeria and philanthropist of note.
Alasoadura symphatised with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and other members of the Senate for the exit of their colleague, praying Allah to grant his soul eternal rest.
