Siblings Bathe Lady With Hot Water For Dating Husband
Two teenage sisters, Fatima Sani and Zulaihat Sani, aged 17 and 15, respectively, have been arrested for allegedly battering a 19-year-old lady in Bauchi State.
The duo, who are both of the Gida Dubu area of the Bauchi metropolis in the state, were said to have “deceitfully” brought the victim to a certain house, where they attacked her and subsequently poured hot water on her for allegedly dating the husband of one of them.
The Bauchi State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in the state on Tuesday.
Wakil, a Superintendent of Police, said that the incident happened last Saturday at Gida Dubu Area of the Bauchi metropolis and the perpetrators were arrested by operatives of the ‘C’ Division led by the Divisional Police Officer.
He said, “On June 10, 2023, at 2.00 pm, police detectives attached to ‘C Police Divisional Headquarters of Bauchi Metropolis, acted on credible information available at their disposal that on the same date at 1.07 pm, one Sa’adatu Abdurrahman Liman, female (19) residing behind old airport, Bauchi, was deceitfully brought into a house situated at Gida Dubu area of Bauchi by one Fatima Muhammad Sani, female (17) and her sister, Zulaihat Muhammad Sani (15), both of Gida Dubu area.
“They connived and battered the said Saadatu and thereafter poured boiled water on her. As a result, she sustained serious injuries to her neck and cheeks.
“The heinous act was perpetrated by the suspects on the account that the victim is dating one of the suspect’s husbands.
“On receipt of the report of the incident, a team of detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer visited the scene, arrested the culprits, and swiftly rushed the victim to the hospital for medical treatment.”
He said that the culprit and her accomplice confessed to the crime in the course of the investigation and would be charged to court for prosecution of the alleged established offences accordingly.
