The stakeholders said members of the party remain stronger and united irrespective of the decampment of Prince Oyinlola who governed the state between 2003 – 2010.

Speaking at a meeting in Okuku town hall, Okuku, the headquarters of Odo-otin local government on Tuesday, the LG Chairman, Hon. Samson Oduoye said that governor Aregbesola has performed beyond the imagination of the people and that has endeared him and the party to Osun residents.

Hon. Oduoye said that the good did of Aregbesola in Osun has turned decamping of one politician in Okuku meaningless and have no negative impact on APC in Odo-otin local government and LCDA.

He said, the present administration under the watch of governor Aregbesola has tried to manage the little resources from the Federal government on infrastructural development and that speaks for the party.

He added that the government provided peaceful environment with adequate security for the people of the state to have lawful assembly.

He said, “Before the emergence of governor Aregbesola in the state, it would be difficult for anybody to organize any meeting like this without hiring thugs to protect the venue of the meeting but now the people have their meetings without fear.”

Meanwhile, the party’s Chairman in Odo-Otin local government, Alhaji Jimoh Asa has urged the people that registered for Permanent Voters Card (PVC) between 2017 to February this year to visit the Independent National Electoral Commission office to collect their PVCs.

Asa explained that the only way members can assist the party is to encourage those that have registered for PVC to collect them and come out during elections and vote for the party.

He charged members of the party to work very hard for the forthcoming September 22 guber race. He also advised them to welcome all the governorship aspirants in the party with open hands.

“I want you to believe in whoever the party leaders present as the APC flag bearer for governorship and let’s work together to have continuity in the state.” he said.

Speaking earlier, one of the APC leaders, Comrade Adepoju Odusola advised organisers of the meeting to create time to organise more meetings to promote the party.

Odusola said, “gathering like this would give people the opportunity to express their feeling and party will be able to provide solution”.

He charged market women to participate fully in politics to see that APC remains in office beyond 2018 in Osun state.
