Edo LG Unveils Banking Habit To Rural Dwellers
Orhionmwon Local Government Council Chairman in Edo state, Mr. Okoro Sylvester has unveiled a new habit that would encourage rural people to develop Banking habit.
This was the subject of discussion between the Council boss and Management of United Bank for Africa (UBA) on Wednesday at Abudu, the administrative headquarters of the Local Government Area.
Okoro, charged the Management of the Bank to establish a branch at the Council to boost business activities among rural dwellers.
He however lamented the absence of commercial Bank cash offices at the locality for several years, which would have been beneficial to the people and improve commerce in the Local Government.
Responding, the Relationship Officer, UBA, Bank, Textile Mill Road in Benin, Mr. Eguae Ehigiator, assured that the Bank will open a cash office and install ATM at the council Secretariat.
He congratulated the chairman for emerging victorious in the just concluded Council Poll in Edo state and pledged on behalf of his Management to play their own part in advancing the economic situation in Orhionmwon Local Government Area
Mr. Okoro Sylvester, earlier performed his first official assignment at the flag-off of routine immunization programme in the Local Government Area.
