Hotelier To Train, Empower Youths In Osun

The Cheif Executive Director, Aloha Hotel and Resort, Dr. Soba Oyeleke has disclosed his readiness to train people on entrepreneurship, youth empowerment as is set to open the hotel.

Oyeleke said, youths would be empowered through clinical skill training for clinic and hospitals with the necessary equipment, through his empowerment and free health care service training programme.

He said the empowerment and free health care service delivery was part of the activities line up for the official commissioning of Aloha Hotel and Resort, located at Aloha Avenue, Besides Lake 264, off ring road area, Osogbo.

He revealed this while speaking at a press conference held in Osogbo.

He bemoaned the rate of unemployment among the youths in the country, saying he would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the youths were brought out of the current unemployment challenges.

The business mogul who noted that many Nigerian youths fly abroad due to lack of employment opportunities in Nigeria, promising to contribute his quotas to the development of the country through youth empowerment and job creation.

Emphasizing the need for regular medical check up, Oyeleke noted that many notable Nigerians travel abroad to seek medical attention.

He described Osun as the centre of Yoruba axis in Nigeria, blessed with mineral resources, wildlife and tourist attraction that is globally recognized.

“Osun is endowed with talented people like Baba Duro Ladipo, the drummers. Osogbo alone has Osun Osogbo grove which its festival is being celebrated across the world, craft works that could give employment opportunities for the people, Ile-Ife, Ila-Orangun, Erin-Ijesha are also there just to mention but few.

“People from around the world, from Brazil, Cuba etc, visit Osun on tourism, which could help the state economy and also aid Osun state development.” he said

However, the project manager Mr. Edima O Joseph said that Aloha hotel as redefined hospitality in tourism industry in Osun state in particular and Nigeria.

Joseph explained that they teamed up with American Healthcare Services, to provide various health awareness of the programs for the member of the community.

He further said that the youths would be trainned on health education and they would be employed to resuscitate people that passed out or faint during shock.

According to the Manager, “The grand opening of Aloha hotel and resort will take place on June 30, this year.

He said the hotel will offer more than lodging, “it is a 20 room luxury suites with the queen and king size bed accommodations.

“The Resort is a vacation wonderland with the plesure of Yoruba culture, featuring swimming pool, water sports, 18-hole golf course, 24-hours gym and fine dining restaurants and event centre on a magnificent 10-acre property.” he said
