Youths council gathers 20,000 youths to celebrate Buhari’s return in Abuja

The youths will celebrate Buhari’s return to the country on a large scale.

PM News reports that the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) confirmed that it had invited 20,000 youths to celebrate Buhari’s to Nigeria.

Malam Murtala Gamji, the special adviser on media to the President of NYCN, said in a statement on Friday, March 10 in Abuja that God had heard and answered the prayers of youths; and indeed all well-meaning Nigerians by ensuring the safe return of Buhari.

The statement said the 20,000 youths would gather at the Unity Fountain in Maitama, Abuja, on Monday, March 13 for the celebration and a prayer session to thank God.

The statement said top government functionaries and religious leaders were also expected to be at the event.

The youths had intended to be at the Kaduna airport to welcome the president on his arrival today but received the information about his return late.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the President is not back in the country to stay for long as sources in the Presidency and his medical team have reportedly said the President will likely return to the UK to continue treatment for an unnamed ailment.

Sahara Reporters writes that the president’s medical team did not necessarily give him a go ahead to travel but he reportedly went against medical advice to travel because some members of his political circle were afraid that their influence was about to slip and they pressured him to come home and reduced anxiety among his followers.
