PDP is a Dead Horse Says Aregbesola

The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose has declared that his visit to Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state was not to a political move to decamp to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). 
Governor Fayose declared that he would never neither defect to the APC nor dump the People Democratic Party (PDP), despite being an position party.
The governor made the declaration in Osogbo on Tuesday when he paid a visit to Aregbesola at the state Government House, Oke-Fia, Osogbo. 
He stated that he is a PDP governor and he would remain in the party,  unless the party it is no more in existence, disclosing that his visit was not to seek support of the ruling party but to discuss the future of Yoruba nation.
According to him, the absence of opposition in any democracy would lead to dictatorship, reiterating that he would not decamp from the opposition PDP. 
Governor Fayose said that his visit to the state was about the future of Yoruba nation, particularly on the need to compliment and consolidate efforts of past Yoruba leaders.
Commenting on the visit of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi more than a week ago, Governor Fayose said that it sends a strong signal on the need for unity and cooperation among the Yoruba leaders. 
The Ekiti Governor who identified the need for state Governors to collectively address the nation’s dwindling economy, said that all hands must be on deck to address sundry issues affecting the development of Yorubaland and Nigeria at large. 
The Ekiti state Governor described his counterpart in Osun as humbled and hospitable, maintaining that Aregbesola remain a great politician he respects too much.
Responding, Governor Aregbesola described the PDP as a dead horse, advising Fayose to pursue his political ideology in a progressive party instead of PDP.
 
Governor Aregbesola commended Fayose for the visit,  just as he  stressed the need to create economic bond that would rescue people from level of poverty and live a modern live.
He noted that since oil had lost its position as the biggest source of revenue generation for the country, there is the need to shift attention to agriculture.
The Osun state governor added that Governors in the southwestern part of Nigeria had concluded plans to re-position Oodua Investment Company Limited conglomerate as the engine room of Yoruba economy.
Governor Fayose’s visit was the first official visit to any APC governor in Nigeria since his inauguration, and he visited Osun with an impressive entourage.
