Oduduwa College, Ile Ife has once again qualified for the final of the second Ojaja II Principal Cup after trashing Fakunle Unity Government High School, Osogbo 2:1 during a keenly contested second semi-final match on Monday.

Oduduwa which is the defending champion after winning the maiden edition last year put up an impressive performance since the preliminaries, with a show of strength to retain the tournament sponsored by the Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II.

The scoreline was opened by a close shot by Ajani Olawale after which Adeboye Jeremiah fired in another shot to give the home side a clear two goals lead above the visitors.

It was like the beginning of the almost concluded match when Fakunle’s Adekambi Jeremiah fired in a shot to indeed prove that something could be done to overturn Oduduwa College’s victory but it was too late as the time was already far spent.

In the first semi-final game played earlier in the day, Progress Academy, Modakeke defeated Ife City Government High School via penalty shootout as the duo could not be separated during the first and second halfs.

As it stands, Oduduwa College, Ile Ife, the defending champion of the tournament is faced with the challenge of defending the trophy it won in 2019 against Progress Comprehensive High School Modakeke, winner of the 2017 Copa Coca-Cola U-15 on Thursday, March 4, 2020.

Similarly, Fakunle Unity Government High School will contest the third place with Ife City Government High School the same day.
