An Osun monarch, Akinla of Erin Ijesa, Oba Isaac Adeyeba Ayeni has commended the state governor, Adegboyega Oyetola for his efforts to build and construct roads in both rural communities and Urban Communities across the state without noise making.

Oba Adeyeba added that there have been two interventions since Governor Oyetola came on board in 2018.

According to the record, Oba Adeyeba said, “in the year  2018, Governor Gboyega Oyetola said  to have Inaugurated 228.5 km rural roads within Osun State under the Osun Rural Access and Mobility Project (O-RAMP).

“While commissioning the 228.5 rural roads, rehabilitated and reconstructed at Akeredolu town along Onikoko-Osi Sooko road in Ife-South Local Government Area, he described infrastructure as the bedrock of socioeconomic development and promised to continue to breathe life into every nooks and crannies of the state in terms of construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of roads and social amenities.” He quoted

“Few weeks ago, again our able Governor equally approves N3.6 billion for township roads within Ikire and Ile-Ife axis which will be executed through Alternative-Project-Funding-Approach to be undertaken by two different contractors for Ikire and Ile-Ife axis.”

“While we appreciate our silent achiever Governor and commends his efforts in providing good roads infrastructure within the state in line with the agenda of his administration; we plead with the Governor to extend this development to other suburbs like Erin-Ijesa, the home of Olumirin Waterfalls.” He lamented

Oba Ayeni noted that, Erin-Ijesa is a notable tourist town within Osun State but the township roads are in a very bad state.

He said that the roads leading to the waterfall site is almost impassable! The 1.5 km road from the center of the town to the waterfall started in December 2017 has been abandoned and is now a death trap,

The monarch described the state governor Adegboyega Oyetola as a listening governor who cares about masses, “We know that our Governor is a listener and he will heed to our call in no distant time”

He noted that no One can overemphasized the fact that infrastructure is the bedrock of socioeconomic development of any town and he plead to governor to continue to fulfill his promises, in other to breathe life into every nooks and crannies of Osun State.

Oba Ayeni said, that the Oluminrin water falls is not only a site to be admired alone but a sacred site that brings revenue to the state and it neglect is tantamount to neglecting source of revenue.
