Rofiat Oladayo Fasola is a firebrand achiever with the calmest of deameanour.
Her expertise in her choosen field of endeavour, her professionalism , depth of understanding, grasp of issue’s core, and commitment to causes she believes in all encompassed her strength of character with a trail of achievements of many firsts in her twenty years practice as a broadcast journalist and Tv documentary Executive.
A 2003 Mass communication graduate of the polytechnic Ibadan she became the youngest and first female producer of an internationally acclaimed and award winning program, The Bisi Olatilo show in the year 2004.
Driven, focused, and passionate, she was the first female to aspire for the post of the President of Association of Student Communicators at the Polytechnic Ibadan in the year 2001. She did not win the election but she went on to establish herself as an upwardly mobile youth leader of note which inadvertently led her to become the most outstanding female producer of the international magazine program The Bisi Olatilo Show in the year 2004.
The Show won the Nigeria Media Merit Award for three consecutive years she managed the production team.
She rose through the ranks in record time to become the Broadcast outfit’s South South Bureau Chief till her resignation in the year 2010 .
Prior to this time, she had distinguished herself as an attachee News reporter at the Osun state broadcasting coorporation OSBC Osogbo, from 1999-2000 where she was eventually offered employment as the Station’s News Correspondent to Oyo State from the year 2000 to 2003.
She founded her communication outfit Vid-vision Media in the year 2010 rolling out several award winning Tv productions like
‘Bibire- the expository series’
‘ Ile-Ife-the Source of the human race’
‘Crossriver- the home of hospitality’ etc.
Her Vid-vision Media outfit parents Gem TV Africa a Media Consultancy Firm and Broadcast Company. The Company produced the international weekly magazine Program ‘ All Things Nigeria’ which broadcasts on Ben Tv London in Europe and some parts of the Americas.
Gem Tv Africa her media company is Broadcast partner with Ben Tv London ,Biscon World Tv and Independent Television Nigeria. The company is also the Media handler for the United Kingdom Commonwealth Africa Initiative since the year 2017 till date.
This company through its CEO ‘Dayo Fasola was also the sole media handler of General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd)’s daughter, Halima Babangida’s wedding to the Dankwambo family of Gombe State in May 2017.
‘Dayo Fasola as a consultant had handled major media projects for coorporate concerns and diverse private individuals. She worked with the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi for two years on different media projects documenting Ile-Ife as the cradle of Mankind . The Niger Delta Development Coorporation NDDC under its erstwhile Chairman Senator Bassey Ewa Henshaw.
The Crossriver State Government under former governor Senator Liyel Imoke, the Esama of Benin kingdom and grand knight of St Benedict, Sir Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion to mention a few.
Rofiat Asake Oladayo Fasola is a native of Osogbo the Osun state capital. She is a strong team member and the Media Officer to the most strategic and result driven campaign body in recent time ; the Gboyega Oyetola Campaign Organisation. It was this group of dynamic individuals that ushered in the incumbent Governor State of Osun, His Excellency Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
