Ijesa North APC Declares Support For Oyetola, Dissociates Self From Splinter Group

The leaders and members of All Progressives Congress in Ijesa North Federal Constituency made up of Obokun and Oriade Local Government areas in Osun State have reaffirmed their support for the progressive administration of Oyetola, while staying clear from the splinter group called “The Osun Progressive”.

This was contained in an address delivered by Otunba Jumoke Ogunkeyede on behalf of the entire party leaders and members of the federal constituency during a press conference organized at Obokun Local Government Party Secretariat, Ibokun.

It will be recalled that Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency had earlier organized a large scale program on 29th September, 2020 for the endorsement of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to pilot the affairs of the state beyond 2022 owing to his performance which they described unprecedented, magical and wondrous.

According to the address read by Ogunkeyede, the overall leader of Obokun LG APC, they underscored the giant strides of Governor Oyetola in state governance which have brought an impeccable facelift to all the sectors of the state economy, saying any attempt by a selfish clique to stand in opposition of the current administration is tantamount to evil, egregious and unscrupulous act which should be discountenanced in its entirety.

The statement read in parts, “It is unfortunate that with all the giant strides of Mr. Governor in the state, some elements under the guise of the Osun Progressive (TOP) have made themselves willing tools in the hand of the devil, all with the aims of distracting Mr. Governor from properly managing the Osun economy which has once crippled, we will use all our arsenals to stand by Mr. Governor to continue his good work in Osun beyond 2022.

“We will also resist these disgruntled ones until they retrace their steps and team up with the people’s governor whose hard works has been earning him accolades and awards from within the state and all over Nigeria.

“Under no circumstance will the leadership and members of this Federal Constituency abandon truly progressive efforts of our amiable and goal getting governor for a group whose only cause of action is cruel hatred towards a perfectly responsible, responsive and a performing governor whose level of attentiveness is second to none.”

They however, said that the open statement in support of the governor was a further affirmation of their earlier endorsement for him to continue with his good work beyond 2022, while entreating him not to get deterred and perturbed by the ongoing evil antics, saying the entire federal constituency had been well repositioned to give him a landslide victory in future elections.
