Today’s generation of young people is the largest the world has ever known. Half of the global population is under 30, and yet 73% of countries restrict young people from running for office, even though, they can vote.

Around the world today, a lot of campaigns have been staged to promote the rights of young people running for public office, whereas they have limited opportunity to contest for political office.

Democracy as a model of government espouses government as an institution created by the people, run by the people and caters for the people.

We believe that young people deserve the same right to run for office and that age discrimination is an hindrance to full participation in today’s democracy.

There is no doubt in the assertion that the progress of any nation rests solely on the leadership it possesses. At every level, the effect of leadership, good or bad is felt by the mass of the people.

The people being at the forefront, this model of government combined with either parliamentary or presidential system provides for the legislature as the soul of government.

Adekiigbe Adebambo Teslim a grassroot politician joined the progressive family since the days of the Alliance For Democracy (AD), Action Congress (AC) which metamorphosed into the present All Progressive Progress (APC).

Beyond doubt, Adekiigbe Adebambo is a pure Progressive and a set mandate for a prosperity of Ayedire local government.

As a young politician, Adebambo will run a listening government and develop the agriculture sector in the council, would promote prudence and integrity as well as invest in human capital development for the development of Ayedire LG.

The Ileogbo born politician Teslim Adebambo holds a B.A (Hons), Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, FUNAAB 2006, Entrepreneurship Training (Shongai International Agricultural Institute Porto Novo) 2010.

He will focus on economic growth, physical infrastructure development, water resources and agriculture.

Undoubtedly, the people of Ayedire should support this young politician who has distinguished himself in service to his people and is looking further to consolidating good governance through effective leadership in the council.

A vote for Adebambo is a decision to further consolidate on Good Governance and Entrench Development.
