Sorrowful, Son Uncovers How Father Was Killed By Unknown Gunmen In Osun

The Son of the assassinated Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Atakumosa East Central local government area of Osun state, Chief Gbenga Ogbara, Aregbesola Ogbar has unfolded how his father was killed in a cold blood by unknown gunmen in his presence.

Aregbesola Ogbara unveiled this in a short video clip obtained by our correspondent while reporting the Sorrowful incident on monday.

He said the assailants came on motorcycle around 12:00am and as they approached their house they alighted;asked about his father and on sighting him,he was shot at a very closed range.

He said his father fell instantly in the pool of his blood as everyone was shocked to witness the situation.

Stressed that the killers vamoosed the environment immediately they have finished their assignment.

However the deceased son and his mother was said to have been hospitalized after the incident, as the son left-hand was hit by the assailants gun shut,while the assassin’s zoom off to an unknown destination after which their mission have been accomplished.

Meanwhile Osun State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Gboyega Famodun, has condemned the the killing of the APC council Chairman.

According to a press statement issued by his spokesman, Kola Olabisi, which was made available to the newsmen in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, today, Famodun stated that the assassination of Ogbara, was wicked, callous, uncalled for, shocking and primitive.

The Osun APC State chairman said for whatever reason, it is grossly improper to settle any rift with killing.

He enjoined the Osun State Police Command to move with a speed of thunder in unraveling whatever or whoever might be responsible for the dastardly killing of the APC LCDA chairman.

In his own reaction, Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Osun State Chapter, Hon. Samuel Idowu Abiodun, has condemned the killing Ogbara.

Abiodun said that the killing of the APC chairman came with great shock and bewilderment.

“I am personally traumatised by this gruesome and inhuman act that has left myself, other local government Chairmen and secretaries, the APC family, and indeed, all well-meaning people shattered.

“My prayers and thoughts go to the family of the late Ogbara”.
