The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State on Thursday inaugurated the Media and Publicity committee for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council for the upcoming 2023 presidential election in the state.

Hon Sunday Akere, the Director of Operations of the party inaugurated the committee in Osogbo, the state’s capital.

He charged them to be committed and discharge their duty diligently, urging to prove the confidence the national headquarter of the party reposed in them.

The directorate, which is headed by Mr Abimbola Tooki, will be responsible for the publicity of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Alhaji Kashim Shettima across the 30 local government areas of the state.

Reacting to the appointment of the committee by the national directorate of media and publicity arm of the Presidential Campaign Council, Tooki expressed gratitude for the “great privilege to once again serve the party, this time with the vital responsibility to support and ensure the total success of the Tinubu/Shettima ticket.”

He promised to work diligently with other stakeholders of the party in articulating the vision of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the people of Osun State, after describing the candidate as a “seasoned and tested leader whose contributions to governance have resulted in visible gains in Lagos and other parts of the country.

Tooki affirmed that the committee has in stock strategies and programmes to deliver victory at poll to the party’s candidates.

“I urge you to do everything legally possible to sell the idea of Asiwaju presidency to nooks and crannies of Osun State through unbeatable media programmes and activities that we clearly convey to the electorates the programmes and plans of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a greater Nigeria,” he said.
