Olaiya Flyover: Osogbo NURTW Gives Gov Oyetola Pass Mark On Infrastructural Development

Members of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Osogbo on Monday reiterated their commitment towards the re-election bid of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

The members , who came out in large numbers said the developmental strides of Governor Oyetola surpassed previous administrations in the state.

The NURTW members, Osogbo Osun State capital endorsed the state governor for second term in office ahead of the July gubernatorial election during their visitation to the Olaiya Flyover in Osogbo.

Members of the NURTW led by Chief Kazeem Oyewale popularly known as Asiri Eniba visited the newly constructed Olaiya Flyover to inspect the level of works done on the bridge .

Speaking with newsmen, Oyewale, Gbobaniyi of Osogbo land said they were satisfied with the level of work done on the bridge.

Oyewale said due to starling performance of the governor in the area of infrastructures and people’s welfare, the Union has endorsed and committed to reelection bid of the Governor.

“First and foremost, this is a center point in Osogbo and we NURTW are so much concerned about the bridge. We’ve been hearing a lot of rumour about the bridge and we are here today to inspect and we are very satisfied with what we have witnessed.

“Oyetola will surely emerge for second term and we are going to work for his return to office”. He assured.

Speaking on how the bridge would not be turned to miscreants hideout after the commissioning, Oyewale said the union will give the state governor necessary support to ensure that the place is safe for the passersby.

He said: “I want to appreciate the governor on the issue of security and since the governor has carried us along in the construction of the bridge, I want to assure you that we won’t allow miscreants to take over the bridge and we will surely support the governor in keeping the state safe.

He, however, used the opportunity to debunk the allegations levelled against him by the Aregbesola’s faction of APC in the state saying he didn’t attack or order anybody to attack TOP members.

He said: “I am not surprised that some people are saying bad things about me but what I want to say it that my boys are not the ones causing problem in the state.

“I’ve heard series of rumour concerning the attack that broke out when TOP are holding their meeting in Ikirun and this is not the first time that they will be mentioning my name.

“I don’t know who is TOP. I am a bonafide member of APC and I haven’t heard that the party is split in the state. APC is one in Osun and and I have no issue with anyone.” He concluded.
