MKO Joins Osun Guber Race, Says It’s Time For Youths To Take Over

Dr Musbaudeen Kunle Oparinde, popularly known as MKO, has declared that he will run for the office of the governor in the year 2022 in Osun State – a move that he described as the “awakening of Nigerian youths”.

In a meeting with the state working committee of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Osun State recently, he formally declared his ambition to run under the platform of the party stating that the time has come for Nigerian youths to be centrally involved in politics as the youths involvement vanguard will start in Osun State with the 2022 governorship elections and gradually extend to the whole of Nigeria.

In recent times, MKO is gradually becoming a popular name in Osun, and it is not surprising that he is gunning for the number one seat in the State.

At the meeting with the party leaders, Comrade Remi Ayanlade, the YPP state chairman commended the efforts of MKO as one of the conscious youths in Nigeria and encouraged as many youths as possible to also partake in politics and governance.

The party chairman and the state working committee formally welcomed Dr Musbaudeen Kunle Oparinde into the party and were full of praises for the courageous path he has chosen to thread.

According to Ayanlade, “This is what we expect of Nigerian youths because if we can be united, we have what it takes to take the mantle of leadership”

While concluding his remarks, MKO stated that he has evaluated as many political parties as possible in Nigeria, and he is convinced that the ideals of the YPP aligns with his ideologies.

He also mentioned that not only is he choosing YPP for himself, but the entire movement referred to as The Fist which he created, including its members, are all pledging their allegiance to the party.

He however advised the people of Osun State, especially the youths, to prepare themselves to join what he called the 3rd Force in the state by “becoming a member of the party and by working tirelessly and unitedly to move away from ineffective leadership in the country to an effective one that protects the interest of the people”.
