Osun: Senator Fadahunsi Empowers Youths On Skill Acquisition

Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi in another move to ensure that his constituents are sufficiently empowered to fend for themselves rather than being dependent is running another set of empowerment programs.

Knowing fully well that technical and vocational education is key to fighting unemployment in the country and all hands must be on deck to ensure that each citizen acquire a vocational skill to complement their educational qualifications he has over the years committed to ensuring that constituents get the necessary empowerment.


Senator Fadahunsi who is representing Ife-Ijesa senatorial district in the National Assembly opined at the closing of a 3-day strategic empowerment Training on soap and detergent he organized in conjunction with TBSMB in Ilesa for 55 residents from 10local government and Ife Area Ofice that for there to be healthy economy in the nation the people from the grassroots have to be enabled to support the macro economy.

Represented by his aide, Chief Femi Fadipe, the lawmaker expressed satisfaction with the conducts of the beneficiaries during the training, urging them to use the knowledge gained through the exercise to better their lot in the face of the global recession.

Fadahunsi promised to help more youths to live above the poverty line with his God given wealth and plead with them not to take into crime which according to him is inimical to development.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Ifeoluwa Amure Expressed gratitude to the sponsor noting that the training was worthwhile as it has opened her eyes to a less capital Intensive venture to take care of her immediate needs.

Another beneficiary, Mr Johnson Alabi, a graduate of Osun state College of Technology, Esaoke, stated that he was amazed by the volume of knowledge imparted on the participants , saying that the training has brought to an end his years of redundancy.

Highlight of the event was presentation certificates and start-up capital to the beneficiaries to kick-start their cottage industries.
