YPF Rejoices With Chief Bisi Akande On His Doctorate Degree In Political Science Award

A socio-political group, Yoruba Progressive Forum (YPF) has congratulated the former Governor of Osun State, Chief Adebisi Akande on the honourary doctorate degree award (Honoris Causa) in Political Science conferred on him by Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State today Saturday, November 27.

Igbinedion University, Okada had conferred on Chief Akande Honourary doctorate degree award as part of the university’s 19th convocation.

Congratulating the former Chairman of the APC, members of YPF in a statement signed by their Coordinator, Alhaji Olalekan Lateef popularly known as Asiri Ede, and Publicity Secretary, Ojeyemi Elijah described the award as well deserved.

According to Lateef , Akande going by his astute leadership and democratic conviction which the country has continually benefited from, he deserves to given such an award .

He said the landmark achievements of the ex governor when he was the governor of Osun State still there for everyone to see, saying the state would continue to remember him for his landmark achievements .

He further explained that political sagacity of the former interim Chairman of the ruling party had greatly helped in bringing unprecedented development to his state of origin and Nigeria as a whole.

He noted Akande was singled out for the award because of his astute leadership among his peers.
