The Special Adviser to Governor Gboyega Oyetola on Youth and Sports, Honourable Adegboyega Adelabu Aremo has charged media practitioners in the state on the need to pay attention to their health through regular medical assessment, physical exercise and intake of balanced diets to enhance their physical and mental well-being.
Aremo gave the charge while addressing members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osun State Council after the Health Walk to mark the 2021 NUJ Press Week.
CityMirrorNews reports that members of NUJ led by their Chairman, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu, had earlier converged on the press centre before proceeding to Oke-Fia, Olaiya and later terminated the health Walk at the council.
The SA Youth and Sports who is one of the sponsors of the Health Walk commended members of the NUJ in the state for imbedding the health Walk into their press week celebration, saying it gives members the opportunity to partake as many do not have enough opportunities to exercise regularly.
“As a matter of fact, media play critical roles in nation building. So, there is need for people in the society to always give kudos to the Media practitioners because they play germane roles in nation building.
“We as politicians, we both partner in the development of the country
“However, I want to charge members of pen pushers on the need to always pay special attention to their health through regular medical assessment, exercise and intake of balanced diets to enhance their physical and mental well-being.
