Osun: APC Chairmen Apologize After Rejecting Motorcycles Donated By Federal Lawmaker, Say Rejection Was Under Duress

Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the four wards of Ile Ogbo, headquarters of Ayedire local government of Osun State, have appealed to the lawmaker representing Ayedire, Iwo and Ola Oluwa in the House of Representatives, Hon.Yinusa Amobi, to overlook their misdemeanor to reject the motorcycles the lawmaker donated to them over two years ago, saying it was under duress.

The four chairmen; Alhaji Mumini Ogunsakin, Mr. Akinyemi Adiamo, Mr Adeniran Adelani and Mr. Isamotu Mufutau said that Hon. Amobi is a leader who does not discriminate or marginalise a community to favour his personal interest.

According to them, their town Ile-Ogbo has benefitted from solar lights and electrification extension projects facilitated by the federal lawmaker.

The initial stage; When Hon. Amobi presented the motorcycles to the Chairmen.

They noted that they demanded for the motorcycles in 2019 which the lawmaker heeded to only for them to return the motorcycles two year after.

They appealed to Hon. Amobi to see their action as unintentional, as he has always been playing fatherly roles to the Youths in Ayedire, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa federal constituency.

Speaking in an interview, the lawmaker representing Ayedire, Iwo and Ola Oluwa federal constituency, Hon.Yinusa Akintola Amobi explained that his love and commitment to ensuring the comfort of his people led to the donation of the motorcycles when Ile-Ogbo people demanded it in 2019.

Expressing his surprise that the motorcycles were returned to him two years after, Hon. Amobi noted that he has always considered every community when facilitating projects.

According to Hon.Amobi,
“I have not and will not marginalise any community for myself or political interest. Ile-Ogbo remains my home and I shall continue to treat the community with respect.

“I have completed seventeen poles electrification extension, installed 500KVA transformer and erected functional eighteen poles solar street-lights at Ile-Ogbo, an indication that they are not left out in the scheme of things.”

Hon Amobi said that the admittance and apology of the four ward chairmen in Ile-Ogbo is an attestation to the fact that his followers trusts his leadership ability and style.

He charged the people of Ayedire, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa federal constituency to continue their support for him, saying every community will have a taste of democratic dividends.

It would be recalled that the Chairmen had on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 returned the motorcycles donated to them two years ago before appealing to the lawmaker for its release.

Hon. Amobi has since released the motorcycles to the ward chairmen.
