The challenges that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola met on ground in Osun State were so humongous that they could disorganize any feeble minded leader completely.

This statement was made by the Chairman,Osun State Local Government Service Commission, Elder Tunde Adedeji, in Osogbo during a chat with media men in his office.

Elder Adedeji who categorized some of the challenges as huge debt, dilapidated infrastructures as well as that of workers modulated salary, pinpointed that most of the crippling liabilities were committed at the local government level.

The LGSC boss recounted that in order to be able to navigate the challenge of modulated salary, which he described as sacrilegious, Governor Oyetola innovated a financial system which facilitated regular payment of full salary and other allowances as and when due, till date.

He also recalled that, within his first 100 days in office,he completely overhauled a total number of 332 Primary Health Centres, thereby bringing health care delivery to the door steps of the people in all the nooks and crannies of the State.

Elder Adedeji further disclosed that as at three months ago, Governor Oyetola had settled about #68billion out of the backlog of debts inherited by his administration.

Apparently alluding to policy revert in the erstwhile education sector in the State which is a response to the popular demand by Osun citizens, the LGSC Chairman thus posited that the hallmark of a good leader is humility to revert or revisit any policy that the people do not accept.

He then went ahead to describe the State helmsman in superlative terms as,”cool, calm, collected, intelligent, humane, humble, a thoughtful person and a good listener.”

While asserting that Oyetola has proven that he deserves a second term in office, Elder Adedeji explained that the Governor had not only meticulously built on some good foundations met on ground, but had also courageously repaired the faulty ones, thereby leaving a solid foundation upon which subsequent leaders can progressively build.

Elder Adedeji accounted the State Governor as a God-fearing personality who is endowed with the spirit of urbanity, sound mind and decisiveness.

Describing Governor Oyetola as a worthy investment, which will yield eternal dividends for all and sundry if re-elected for second term in office, Elder Adedeji opined that it will take a cool headed man, with divine backing like him, to take the State to the next level that we are all craving for.

Elder Adedeji who acknowledged that the past three years of His Excellency had been that of divine participation, observed that despite paucity of funds, the Governor had recorded monumental achievements in critical sectors inspite of other daunting challenges that he met on ground.

While asserting that he had laid the necessary foundation for lasting and enduring progress in the State, the LGSC boss forsees that Oyetola’s second term in office will enable him take the State to a pedestal where continued peace and prosperity will become irreversible.

He then charged all and sundry to translate their love and goodwill for him into votes in the forthcoming elections so that his second term bid in office can be actualized.

Elder Adedeji elucidated:
“Governor Oyetola is very passionate about education, health, infrastructures and general wellbeing of the people. His priority, according to the Chairman, is to transform Osun from a civil service to a commercial and industrial state.” “He certainly needs more time to accomplish this,”Adedeji solicited.

The inherent sterling qualities in Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has impacted positively on Osun State in peace and steady progress in the last three years.” He said .

He then prayed that God will touch the heart of the entire electorate to return him to power beyond year 2022,so that he can perfect the good work he had started.

He however, appealed to those who are yet to collect their voters’ cards not to tarry in doing so,advancing that it is the only power that they have to return the Governor to continue his good.
