Eid-el Kabir: Adeyemi, Ede North Chairman Donates 100 Rams, 15 Cows, Bags Of Rice To Residents

Honourable Elliot Adeyemi, the Caretaker Chairman of Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State, has distributed 100 Rams and 45 bags of rice to Muslims Ummah in his local government area for the Eid-el Kabir celebration.

The newly swore in Chairman disclosed this while fielding questions from journalists during the presentation of the Rams on Monday, in Ede.

Adeyemi said apart from Rams and bags of rice , he also distributed 15 cows to the Muslim faithful in his local government.

He said beneficiaries of the Sallah gifts included staff of the local government council and residents of Ede Town .

He said that the donation was aimed at making his people have a joyful and fulfill Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

The council boss , who disclosed that the items cost millions of naira, said the donation was done in the spirit of love and sharing with the less privileged in the society.

“In keeping to the tradition of reaching out to the poor and the less-privileged, even before I became the Chairman of the council, I have always donated rams and bags of rice to the Muslim ummah in my local government.

“The gesture cost me millions of naira. This is my personal support and a way of identifying with my people. I did this in order to put smile on the faces of my people.

“Those who know me are very much aware that I have been doing this even before I became a Chairman.

” It has always been part of me to support those who don’t have so that they too can enjoy the celebrations,” he said.

He advised his people to use the festive season to pray for Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s administration just as he enjoined them to continue to support him to rule the state beyond year 2022.
