Osun Transporters Restate Support for Governor Oyetola

Major stakeholders in the transportation sector including members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, (RTEAN), City Bus Korope Association and Tricycle Operators Association have again expressed their supports and satisfaction for the programmes and policies of the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

The leaders of the various unions restated this in a parley initiated by the Director General of the Bureau of Social Services (BOSS) in Osogbo, the state capital.

Speaking on behalf of the NURTW in the state, Comrade Solo Gabriel who represented the chairman lauded Governor Gboyega Oyetola for redefining governance and yielding to the aspirations of the people of the State.

In the same vein, Comrade Wahab Maruf aka Dodo representing the state leadership of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, (RTEAN) commended Governor Gboyega Oyetola administration in the s
State of Osun for entrenching peaceful atmosphere in the state.

In his own remark, the chairman Citybus (KOROPE) Association, Comrade Yemi Onifade assured that members of the association are solidly behind the Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s effort at repositioning the state across sectors.

The leaders of the various associations called on the State Government to sustain the peaceful coexistence atmosphere among the unions and residents of the state. They reassured the government on bringing an end to the recurring traffic bottleneck that has become a daily occurrence at the popular Aregbe junction, Osogbo the state capital with the promise to do everything necessary in ensuring a free flow of traffic across the State.

They described the ongoing construction of Ola-Iya iconic flyover bridge and other road network as monumental in the history of the state.

In his remark, the Director-General, Bureau of Social Services, Mr. Richard Tinubu commended the leadership of transport unions for the peaceful manner with which they have been conducting their affairs. Mr. Tinubu reassured them of government continued support.

Present at the peace parley were comrades Olayiwola Adewale, Oladipo Musibau, Alhaji Tijani Isiaka and comrade Adam Adediran.

Others are Comrade Lukman Ahmed and comrade Lukman Ajibade.
