Eid-el-Fitri: Badmus Felicitates With Muslims, Sues for Peace, Ethno-Religious Tolerance

The commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties in Osun state, Honourable Olalekan Badmus has urged Nigerians to embrace peace and tolerate individuals ethnic and religion affiliation at this critical period of national life.

Badmus made this call while felicitating with muslim faithfuls who just completed the one month mandatory fasting.

He made this statement in his Eid-el-Fitri congratulatory message made available by his media aide, Mr. Mustapha Aleem, to newsmen in Osogbo on Wednesday.

The statement read, “I use this esteem season to felicitate with Nigerians especially Muslim faithfuls for the completion of the thirty days fasting.

“I believe Allah has crowned the fasting with His goodness and answered all our supplication with awesome deed.

“I urged Nigerians to always see what has brought us together rather than what separated us. Don’t give room for ethnicity and religion to toss up the peace of this nation.

The first capital for economy of a nation to strive is peace and the pivot upon which the economy of this country will resurge is peace.

Engr. Badmus stated that, “It is hightime religious leaders and traditional leaders needed to stop amplifying ethno – religious tension in the country and do things that will further contribute to peace building of this country.

He urged Nigerians especially Muslim faithfuls to use this period of Eid-el-Fitri celebration to pray for the country and our leaders for ease delivery of good governance.

He thanked the good people of Osun state for their peaceful co-existence and maximum supports for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s administration as he stressed that they shall continue to enjoy the pragmatic leadership style of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
