By Ayobami Agboola, Osogbo

A sociopolitical group, Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF), Osun State Chapter, has appreciated Governor Gboyega Oyetola for nominating its State Coordinator, Comrade Sikiru Tijani among the local Government Caretaker Nominees.

CityMirrorNews reports that Tijani is one, out of many, nominated to be members of the caretaker committees setup by the state governor to take charge of the state local government and council development areas administration.

Recall that the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye announced the names of the Local Government Caretaker Committee nominees at the state assembly plenary session on Thursday.

The AGF in a statement signed by its Secretary, Comrade Yahaya Adeniji, and made available to newsmen, in Osogbo, on Monday said members of the group were highly elated with the appointment of their coordinator.

They described the appointment of Comrade Tijani as well-deserved, saying the appointees were those that would represent the interests of the people in their respective local Government areas.

AGF however, appealed to other party members, whose names were not in the list to exercise patience, saying it would soon get to their turn.

“We members of the sociopolitical group, Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF) in Osun, wish to express our sincere appreciation to our amiable Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola on the recent nomination of members of Caretaker committee at the Local Government areas, Local Council Development Areas and Area Offices.

“We are very delighted to see that among the Local Government Caretaker Nominees , our Coordinator, Comrade Sikiru Tijani is included.

“Governor Gboyega Oyetola is indeed a listening Governor who had been very fair in the selection of these Nominees.

“We want to urge other members of our party whose names are not included to exercise patience. We are very hopeful that at no distance time it would get to their turn.”
