… Party Leaders Commends Sunday Bisi Led Executives For Revamping Efforts

Leadership of Osun PDP led by the State Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi, on Tuesday embarked on Local Governments tour of the party with a view to bridging gap of communication within the party’s rank and file across the state.

The interactive visit according to the Chairman, was also to intimate local party executives, leaders and members of the party at the grassroots with working direction of the party and the need to brace up for the tasks ahead with renewed vigour.

Chairmen of the party in the local governments visited so far and notable leaders like Elder Peter Babalola, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, Hon Sanya Omirin, Prince Kolapo Lawal, Hon Festus Ademola, Hon Abiodun Ojo Fafa, Rev Bunmi Jenyo, Hon Mrs Ayo Awolowo, Prince Kolapo Lawal, Chief K. Akinroye, Alhaji Eleporobi amongst several others, bemoaned deteriorating state of infrastructures in their respective local governments despite presence of APC political functionaries in the areas, including the Deputy Governor for instance in Irewole local government, Federal and State parliamentarians, state Commissioners and other political functionaries claiming to be from the communities visited.

The PDP leaders promised to form a common accord for the sake of their kinsmen, who are bearing the brunt of painful economic deprivations owing to lack of government presence in the local government areas According to them, most public primary and secondary schools in various communities as at today, cannot boast of more than three teachers in a whole school, which is in sharp contrast to standard obtainable in the era of PDP as the ruling party in the state. Little wonder, the free fall in the standard of education in the state.

The visiting entourage according to a statement signed by Hon Jacob Ayodeji Areola, State Publicity Secretary and made available to CityMirrorNews, in Osogbo, on Friday, observed terrible state of intra-city roads, schools and other public infrastructures in all the local government visited so far wondering what the heck the Apc administration has been doing in the state since 2010.

According to the statement, “This abysmal performance is also unexplainably absurd considering humongous amount of debt running into hundreds of billions of Naira incurred by Apc Administration in the guise of lifting the state’s welfare and social amenities within the period of their administration.

“These debts we must say and so regrettable that, will be there suppressing the state’s economy for several decades to come without having any deliverables as consolation for the good people of the state.

“The road from Osogbo leading to Gbongan, headquarters of Ayedaade local government for instance, is surprisingly in a terrible state of disrepair, after several years of awarding the 29km road for a staggering sum of 30billon naira, with sufficient credit facilities sought and accessed on behalf of the state for making the road a seamlessly passable dual carriageway.

“Alas, the same road has turned a deadlier trap of transportation, providing safe abode for criminal minders like bandits, armed robbers and brute kidnappers.

Reacting, Hon Sunday Bisi told the party leaders in conclusive emphasis that the party would henceforth not be distracted from delivering Osun back to the good people of the state, saying, doing anything short would be inimical, insensitive and grossly at variance with the current plight of the people in the state.

“Returning APC to their natural boat of critiques would not be a bad idea, considering their abysmal performance in government, which has reduced the country and particularly, Osun State to a mockery object, dying in a speed of light”

The Osun PDP helmsman warned that PDP remains the only feasible and constitutional platform through which the suffering masses of our people are gazing into liberation and any form of distraction will be treated as injurious to common aspiration of the party at a time all hands should be on deck for the state salvation.

Similar trend played out in all the local governments visited, where party leaders embraced effort of the Hon Sunday Bisi and his team at repositioning the party for the tasks ahead.

In all, 9 Local Governments have been visited so far viz: Isokan, Irewole, Ayedaade, Atakumosa East, Atakumosa West, Ilesa East, Ilesa West, Ifedayo and Ila local governments.

The trip continues on Monday 7th June 2021, with visits to Ejigbo, Egbedore, Ede South and Ede North local government chapters of the party.
