Osun-Ikoyi Festival: Isokan South LCDA Chair, Oyelami Congratulates Olukoyi, Indigenes

As the activities marking this year Osun-Ikoyi festival started on Wednesday October 6th, 2021, the Executive Chairman, Isokan South Local Council Development Area, Ikoyi, Osun State, Prince Wasiu Oyetunji Oyelami has congratulated the Olukoyi of Ikoyiland, Oba Yisau Bantale Otunla, Kodaolu 1, Community Leader Dr. Hamid Raheem, Alhaji TI Bello, the Olukoyi in Council, the Baálẹ̀s, the Baloguns, sons and daughters of Ikoyi (home and is diaspora), residents of the community and the staffs of Isokan South LCDA, Ikoyi.

This congratulatory message was made known in a press statement made available to journalists in Osogbo the Osun State capital by Prince Oyetunji.

The Isokan South LCDA boss who enjoined residents of the ancient community to celebrate the annual festival with love enjoined them not to forment trouble before, during and after the festival.

According to Prince Oyetunji, “While celebrating this year Osun-Ikoyi Festival, let’s be law abiding, and ensure the usual peace and trasquility reigns in the community.

“We should also comply with the government’s guideline on Covid-19 safety measures by making use of nose cover and other safety precautions”.

Prince Oyetunji further reiterated the readiness of his administration to continue to support residents in promoting our culture and tradition.

The Isokan South LCDA boss however enjoined the people of the area to support the government by paying taxes as and when due in order to transform the entire community.

Prince Oyetunji admonished the residents to identify with the achievements of Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the areas of infrastructural upliftment, health care, food support initiative, prompt and full payment of workers salary, financial empowerment to citizens etc.

Prince Oyetunji rounded up his message by recognising the support and encouragement he has gotten from the Kabiyesi and the sons and daughters of Ikoyi towards the building of the council permanent Secretariat. He however further urge them to donate towards the completion of the project.
