The Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF) has condemned the Sunday’s attack on the Personal Assistant to the Minister Of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and its National Coordinator, Comrade Ishola Olateju.
Recall that Olateju Ishola and three others who were attacked by unidentified hoodlums, came in an18-seater bus shooting and unleashing machete cuts on him and others at a restaurant in Osogbo, State of Osun around 9:30pm on the day.
AGF in press statement made available to newsmen by its National Secretary Mr. Ibrahim Alli-Balogun said the incident is condemnable, unnecessary and must be investigated thoroughly.
He tasked all relevant security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and fish out those behind the attacks and their sponsors.
According to the statement, “AGF calls on the State of Osun security agencies to spare no effort in identifying and swiftly bringing the perpetrators to justice and enhancing the protection of all citizens in the State”.
He warned against further attacks on party loyalists, maintaining that this is capable of orchestrating crisis in the state.
“It is sad that these attacks may have been politically motivated, hence the sponsors of these attacking dogs have a motive to destabilise the State and it is uncalled for and perpetrators must be brought to book to serve as deterrent to who ever may want to engage in such destabilizing act” the statement said.
