Youth Reformers Initiative Honours Talented, Hard-working Son, Daughters Of Osun

Aminat Ajibola, the founder of Youth Reformers Initiative has said that the focus of the Osun Youth Ambassador Awards is to showcase hardworking sons and daughters of the state.

Ajibola said this while delivering her welcome address at the 5th edition of the award ceremony held at the Aurora Event Center Osogbo, the Osun State Capital.

She stated that the significance of the Osun Youth Ambassador Awards cannot be overemphasized, adding that since in its inception, the Youth Reformers Initiative has awarded and showcased 102 youths in Osun State to the world in the last five years.

“The focus and importance of the Osun Youth Ambassador award is the showcasing of the hardworking and resourceful youths of our dear state to the country and world at large. We gather every year to celebrate their wonderful exploits in their respective endeavors.

“Through the Osun Youth Ambassador Awards, almost all of our past awardees have been exposed to better opportunities across the world and are making great impacts.

“The significance of the Osun Youth Ambassador Awards cannot be overemphasized, five years ago since its inception; we have awarded, honoured and showcased 102 Osun Youths to the world.”

She therefore, appreciated every committee member of the Youth Reformers Initiative for their tremendous contribution and hard work towards the annual event.

Ajibola also called on Nigerians to embrace the use of face masks to stem the spread of COVID-19 across the country.

As of Sunday, Nigeria has recorded 84,414 cases of the deadly coronavirus with 1,254 deaths.

The Youth Reformers Initiative founder admonished the Osun residents and Nigerians at large to stay safe and adhere to the safety precautions by wearing a face mask, using hand sanitizers as well as other COVID-19 protocols stipulated by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

“The Coronavirus has evidently posed serious health and economic challenges to Nigerians as well as to the rest of the world. Many lives have been lost while million others are on the sickbed.

“As we try to recover from the negative effects, I urge all well-meaning Osun state indigenes and progressive-minded Nigerians to stay safe and adhere to the safety precautions by wearing a face mask, using hand sanitizers as well as other COVID-19 protocols stipulated by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC),” she said.

At the 5th edition of the award ceremony, more than 20 Osun state youths were recognized and awarded for their exploits in their respective fields.

The Awardees showed appreciation to the founder and organisers of the award ceremony for their uncommon gesture in showcasing the beaming lights of the state.

One of the beneficiaries said the award ceremony is one of a kind adding that it is a sign of encouragement for the teeming youths of Osun state.
