Osun First Lady Reiterates Oyetola’s Commitment Towards Children’s Advancement

Wife of Osun State Governor, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola has reiterated the state Government commitment to continue to improve the development of children in the state, while also commending parents for giving their children necessary guidance towards the right path.

Mrs Oyetola Stated this in her message to mark the year 2020 Children’s day celebration in the state.

The wife of the governor said that the present administration would not deter in its commitment in putting in place policies and programmes that will guarantee the development of children in the State irrespective of their location, gender and religious differences.

She further explained that the Governor Oyetola-led administration had never deviated in putting forward a child friendly policies just as she assured that it would leave no stone unturned in creating enabling environment for children’s educational development.

She urged the children to develop good character and grow up as responsible citizens, as doing so would not only make them better individuals but also open many opportunities for them in future.

She charged them to take their education seriously, as hard work and academic excellence remained the most reliable stepping stone to success and a way to also secure a comfortable place for them in the society.

According to her, “You all are beautiful children of destiny. I want you all to grow up as good children. Always listen to your parents, be of good behaviour, respect the elders, do not join bad gangs and always pray to God to guide and direct you at all times.”

She charged parents and guardians on the need to give their children adequate attention and guide them to remain safe from Infectious disease, urging them to take advantage of the electronic lesson class going on in the state as a result of Lockdown occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic.

“I want to commend parents for a job well done in taking care of the children. I want to also appeal to parents and other privileged individuals in the society to remember to extend a hand of love to the less privileged not only at this period but always.

She noted that “the present situation in the world at large has presented the country with a challenge to develop our domestic talents, also admonished the children to begin the writing of their own history so that their tomorrow could be assured.
