“Baba as fondly called has exhibited the grace of God upon his with and ministry with the candor and decorum with which he is navigating the ship of both the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Nigerian Baptist Convention through the troubled waters.

“Brethren in Nigeria have not had a leader that would stand stoutly for them and speak truth to the power and principalities in recent times times him.

“Nigerian Christians have never been this unanimous in pushing for a favourable environment to practice our faith like now. This is because we have a focused, sterling, committed and godly leaders ably led by Rev Ayokunle.

“Despite the myriad of challenges confronting the nation and Christians in particular, Ayokunle and his team have consistently given out God’s instructions on what to do at a particular time. This is reflected in the recent directive of the CAN to all Christians in the country to fast, pray and march in protest against the killings of Christians in Nigeria.”

He added that the celebrant is a mobiliser, reconciliator, and man of peace.

“You will recall that the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, CSN, and others left CAN long ago but today, by the help of God, CSN and others who have left CAN have rejoined. This has further bridged the gap in the Christian community.
