Eid-el-Fitr: RAI Rejoices With Muslims, Urges Unity Of Purpose Among People Of All Faiths

The founder of RAIGLOBAL TRUST FOUNDATION, Dr Richard Adekola Idowu (RAI), has joined other well wishers to celebrate with Muslim faithful on the occasion of the Id-el-Fitr which marks the end of the 30-day fasting period.

Idowu in a statement issued to celebrate the 2020 Eid-el-Fitr festival with Muslims around the world congratulates faithfuls for the successful completion of 1441 Ramadan urged them to harness all the benefits of the Islamic fasting which include self restraint, charity, purity and greater devotion to the tenets of Islam.

He charged well to do Muslims on the need to observe the Zakatul fitr which is an act of giving to the poor as laid down by the Holy Prophet Muhammed ( Peace be on Him) to mark the end of the fasting period.

According to Dr Idowu, the bond between individuals, communities and Nations of the world and equality of humanity which the Ramadan fasting entrenches must not be undermined by the current economic realities and social restrictions occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.

While congratulating the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the Eid, in Ejigbo,Ede and Egbedore constituency,the founder of RAIGLOBAL TRUST Foundation described the current slowdown in social and economic activities all over the world as a wakeup call for all Nations to acknowledge the sovereignty of the Almighty God and reflect on the need for greater cooperation in tackling common problems.

The Ejigbo born philanthropist also urged Islamic leaders to work together with leaders of other faiths to impress on governments especially in Africa on the need to build a more equitable socio-economic system that will lift people out of poverty and enhance peaceful coexistence of people of different cultures and faith.

Idowu prayed Allah to accept the prayers and supplications of the Muslim Ummah and grant everyone the grace to continue in the great lessons which were imbibed during the period of fasting.
