Osun State Supervisory Coordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) Prince Adedeji Aladesawe, has described the attack on the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams as rude and uncomplimentary, saying those behind the attacks are doing the bid of their pay master.

Speaking, while reacting to the recent statement credited to Wasiu Agarawu, of the BolaTinubu Disciples Organisation (BTDO), Osun state coordinator of the OPC said those behind the statement are political hangers-on working ceaselessly against the interest of the Yoruba race.

Aladesawe, however, dismissed the statement, saying it was a ploy by the APC leader to distract the public from relevant issues.

“Those attacking our leader, Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams, are a group of detractors and feather weights, they are doing the job of their pay master. Aare Gani Adams occupies one of the most sacred positions in Yorubaland, therefore, it is uncomplimentary for any right thinking person or organization to desecrate the office”

“As the generalissimo of our race, it is the duty and responsibility of Iba Gani Adams, to express his views on relevant issues, especially, at this critical moment when things are not going on well in the country.

” So,it behooves on Yoruba leaders, traditional rulers and all the stakeholders to support and rally round the Aare Gani Adams in his quest for restructuring and true federalism ”

” I have watched the video of the interview, and happily, Aare justified his position. He was very articulate in his response, and he did justice to all the issues raised in the interview, which bordered on the future of our race. He is in the best position to lead the crusade for restructuring, true federalism and egalitarian society. ”

” Therefore, those trying to criticise Aare and desecrate the office of the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, will surely regret it. We know who they are, and in no long time, they will face the wrath of Oodua, the progenitor of our race”

“We are watching events as they unfold and we are very much on ground, and the truth is that all attempts to soil the name of our leader and discredit the office of the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland will fail”,he noted.
