Honour God Like King David, Kitago New Village Head Urged

The New Head of Kitago village of Miango in Bassa local government of plateau state has been charged to honour God like king David in the Bible and respect God throughout his tenure as the Head of the village.

As its very difficult for the head to do any thing alone but advised to educate his subject to watch out for strangers who may want to infriterate their community for easy identification.

The former commissioner of land and survey in plateau state, Hon. James Barry give the advice in an interview with CityMirrorNews during the coronation ceremony of the Village Head of Kitago, Miango of Bassa local government of plateau state Nggwe Audu Rivi.

Barry said he is not in doubt of the capability of the Village Head going by his track record as Acting District Head, District Head and now village Head at all these time he demonstrated leadership quality,I am sure he will lead the community well .

He advice him to always educate his subjects on the danger of a particular thing that will endangered their live in particular and the community in general.

On the issue of insecurity, the former commissioner said, the community is not resting on it oars to ensure the community and it environ are properly protected from invaders.

“It may interest you to know that it is in this very community that over Twenty(20) Boko Harams were arrested and handed over to the police recently, my advice for the New Village Head is to educate his subjects on how to identify stranger in their mist.”

Barry however advice governor Lalong led administration to do more to improve the welfare of Traditional institution in the state.

“Governor Bako lalong is trying, but he should try harder to improve the welfare of Traditional rulers in the state and also streamlining their roles ,with that they will know where their power start, and where it ends. ”

In his response, Hon. Moses Bongo call on governor Bako lalong to provide the community with good road net work .

According to Hon Moses ,because of lack of accessible road network to the community, its hindering the establishments of developmental projects in the community.

He however advice the New Village Head to us his tenure to fight some of the vices that are most prevalent with the youths in the area,like the intake of alcohol and other illicite drugs.

On his part, James Nahimah Hele of PRTV, who is the son of the community called on the people of Kitago to join hands together and pray for the New village head to succeed for piloting the affairs of the community during his reign.

James pray that the reign of the New Village head of Kitago will bring unity among the community.

It be recalled that the Stool of the Village Head of Kitago had been vacate since 1988.
