2020 Armed Forces Day: Osun Gov Charges Nigerians To Reciprocate Patriotism Of The Fallen Heroes

Osun State Governor Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola has said that the sacrifice of the fallen heroes is devoid of ethnic colouration, religious intolerance, racism, language, boundaries and selfish interest and is worthy of emulation by all and sundry.

Governor Oyetola stated this on Sunday at this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day Thanksgiving Service held at Dada Estate Baptist Church, Olorunsogo area, Osogbo.

The Governor who spoke through his Deputy, Mr Benedict Alabi lauded the fallen heroes, veterans, the Nigeria army and other security agents for their efforts in keeping the nation together despite all odds.

He emphasized on the need for Nigerians to continuously celebrate and care for the disabled ex service men, their widows, the Children, families and their dependants as a way to appreciate their efforts for fighting to keep the nation intact.

Governor Oyetola charged Nigerians to reciprocate the patriotism of the fallen heroes by continuing to live in love and unity.

“The greatest gratitude we can pay to their memories and sacrifice is to continue to keep the peace they fought for and to stand against all forms and resemblances of terrorism and insurgency.

” We all have responsibilities as leaders and Nigerians to curtail the raging insurgencies and prevent the outbreak of new ones.

” Their sacrifice and unquantifiable patriotism should make us to be proud as Nigerians and propel us to make the Nigeria project work sustainably”, Governor Oyetola added.
