A chieftain of the ruling-All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in Osun, Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti has congratulated Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on his victory at the last Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

He described the governor’s victory as a well-deserved based on his superlative performance in the last four years since his assumption of office in the state.

This was contained in a statement personally issued and signed by Alhaji Adeoti and made available to CityMirrorNews on Osogbo, the State of Osun capital.

According to him, Governor Akeredolu’s victory at the Ondo governorship poll was a victory for the progressive movement and a boost to the nation’s nascent democracy.

He therefore charged residents of Ondo State to join hands with the Governor in his efforts to take the state to higher heights during his second term in office.

Adeoti also admonished all other contestants not to see their defeat as an excuse to abandon the state to the governor alone but rather offer useful advice that will further lift the state and the people.

“The interest of the people of the state should be of uttermost priority of all the stakeholders and not the governor alone.

“I therefore was to admonish all contestants at the governorship election, irrespective of their party affiliations to forget their differences and team up with the Governor Akeredolu in his task to move the state forward,” Alhaji Adeoti further charged.

He also tasked the Governor Akeredolu to see his recent victory as a divine arrangement and therefore should also serve as an avenue to draw all his fellow contestants together to himself with a view to forming a formidable team that will serve the overall interest of all.
