Osun NBA Commends Gov Oyetola Over Appointment Of Members, Congratulates Appointees

The Osogbo Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association has felicitated with four of her members who were recently appointed to different offices in Osun State and nationally.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Branch, Mr Abdulrahman Okunade and the Branch Secretary, Mr. S. O. Abiona, the lawyers’ Association appreciated the gesture of the Executive Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola in appointing three of its members.

The appointees according to the statement are Mr Adebayo Waliyu Salimon as a member of the Osun State Judicial Service Commission; Mr Hassan Taiwo Agbelekale as the Legal Adviser to the State’s Security Network Agency and Secretary to the Agency’s Governing Board; and Mrs Ajibola Olaide Alade as a member of the Independent Amotekun Complaints Board.

The Agency is a creation of the State of Osun Security Network Agency And Amotekun Corps (Establishment) Law, 2020.

“It is motivating for us to know that members of the Osogbo Bar are found worthy of the governor’s confidence as suitable hands for the very important roles they are entrusted with”, the statement reads in part.

The Association also felicitates with another of its prominent members, Mr Abiodun Ayotunde Sonaike, who has just been appointed as the National Legal Adviser for the Kanu International Football Academy (KIFA).

KIFA is an initiative of the Nigeria’s ex-international and former captain of the Super Eagles, Mr. Kanu Nwankwo. It is the largest network of soccer Academy in West Africa, endorsed by FIFA and the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Sports, with about one hundred centres spread all over Nigeria.

“While trusting that the appointees will justify the confidence reposed in them by their appointing authorities, we as a Branch heartily felicitate with them and wish them successful tenures” the statement concludes.
