10th Anniversary: Patriotic Club Of Obaagun Appreciates Guests, Residents Who Attended The Event

A call has gone to residents of various communities in the state to always think of what to do for their respective communities and not to wait for what the government will do for them.

The Patriotic Club of Obaagun community in Ifelodun Local Government of Osun State made this call in their letter of appreciation to the people who attended their 10th anniversary ceremony jointly signed by the President and General-Secretary, Patriot Jamiu Ayotunde Lawal and Patriot Jimoh Wale Atoba.

The Patriotic Club which has done everything possible towards the development of the ancient town of Obaagun said people should change the habit of waiting for government to do what they supposed to have done in uplifting their domain saying government cannot be doing everything for the people all the time.

According to the club, “government is trying on their own towards the betterment of its citizens but we have to demonstrate our unalloyed support to them as well as they need us too”.

The club expressed their gratitude to all their members, the 10th Anniversary Local Organizing Committee headed by Patriot Laide Idowu and Pat. Suleiman Mashood, the Olobaagun of Obaagun, HRH Oba Jimoh Adebisi Okunade Kayode II, and the ODU President, Barrister S. K Olowolagba and his EXCO.

Others according to the appreciation letter include, the NURTW and RTEAN Obaagun branch, all the awardees, the management of Raphat College of Education Obaagun, all the Principal in Ikirun Zone, the Obaagun United FC, the Chiefs and Baales in Obaagun, the Chairman and Chairperson of the anniversary, the grand Patron and Patroness- Oluomo and Yeye Oluomo Abdulganiy Makanjuola as well as others that have contributed in no measure to the success of the anniversary.

The Patriotic Club however reiterated their readiness in transforming Obaagun community all the time in order to be competing with other communities in the state.
