It was celebration galore in Modakeke, Ife East Local Government Area Office, Osun State as two philanthropists, Kayode Sowade and Yoade Buma distributed Rams and food items to the residents of the town to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.

Sowade and Buma distributed the rams and food items such as rice, semo and vegetable oil to Muslim and other residents of the town to celebrate Sallah and as a way of showing their gratitude to the Governor of the state, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola for reconstructing Famia road in the town.

The indigenes majority among whom are members of the APC happily went home with food items that will sustain each family for weeks. Apart from that , hundreds of commercial motorcyclists also benefited from the free fuel across the ten wards within the town.

Speaking with CityMirrorNews the two philanthropists and die-hard supporters of the All Progressive Congress in the ancient town of Modakeke, appreciated the governor for his style of leadership in the state and most especially the commencement of the reconstruction of Famia road which has been neglected for years.

In appreciation to the governor’s good works since the inception of his administration, Sowade and Buma pledged their supports and loyalties to Oyetola, saying that they are amazed in the ways the governor is handling the governance of the state especially in the areas of prompt payment of workers salaries, appointing competent hands and qualified personnels, revitalization and renovations of primary health centres across all the wards in the state and reconstruction of roads that have been abandoned.

According to the philanthropists, “we were touched by the tremendous performance of the present administration led by Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the area of infrastructural development and we have decided to support the Governror in his bid to make life better for the people of the state.

“Despite the Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the whole world which it has crippled the country’s economy, Governor Oyetola still deemed it fit to reconstruct the popular Famia road which he has been abandoned for years.

“We decided to go about the distribution the Rams and food items as a means of appreciating the governor for the rehabilitation of the road in the community despite the paucity of fund.

“In fulfilment of our promise to support the governor, we have donated and distributed Rams, bags of rice, vegetable oils and facemasks to residents of this town majority who are members of the ruling APC party across all the 10 wards during the last Eid-el-Kabir celebration. Also free fuel were given out to over 500 commercial motorcyclists in our sleepy town, Modakeke.”

“On behalf of our family and the good people of modakeke, we wish to wholeheartedly thank the Osun State governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola for fulfilling his electoral promises by commencing the reconstruction of the abandoned Iteesin-our Lady School Police devisional headquarters Famia road, Modakeke in spite of the covid-19 pandemic.

“The Osun governor has indeed shown to be a “talk and do governor. We also thank you for rehabilitating all the three focal PHC in Modakeke town.”

However, the duo appreciated the state party chairman, Prince Adegboyega Famodun for his efforts and working tirelessly to keep the party together and making the party to progress under his leadership.

They commended Famodun for managing the affairs of the party without any rancour saying he has indeed proved beyond the reasonable doubt that he can lead the party to attain its targeted goals.

The Modakeke APC supporters said Prince Famodun has been diligently handling the affairs of the party and reasons for the success the party recorded in the previous elections in the state.

Furthermore their appreciations were extended to Alhaji Asalu the party leader in Modekeke for his outstanding leadership roles in the local government and for his unweaving support to the administration of Governor Oyetola

They said he was happy to reach out to the people of the community at this time, even as they promised to do more.
