Former Commissioner for Social Protection, Sports and Special Needs in the State of Osun, Comrade Biyi Odunlade has congratulated the former governor of the state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on his Ministerial Nomination.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday by his media aide, Matthew Afolabi, Odunlade described the nomination as “a reward for excellence and party loyalty”.

He said that President Muhammadu Buhari has fulfilled his promise to appoint only those he knows personally in the Next Level cabinet.
“Aregbesola’s appointment is undoubtedly a reward for a good job done as a former two-term governor of the State Osun where his legacies in human, capital and infrastructural development have become an enduring legacy.”

Describing the nomination as a right step, Odunlade said that “Aregbesola aside being a politician is also a technocrat who served meritoriously as a Commissioner for Works in the Excellence State of Lagos under a leader with eyes for best hands, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He has used the experience acquired to transform the State of Osun into a modern state and model for other states of the Federation.”

“Aregbesola’s nomination and expected appointment as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will be a great addition to the Next Level cabinet with assured capacity to complement Buhari’s drive for economic development, governance and sustainable democracy in the country.” He stated.

The former adviser and Commissioner to Aregbesola thanked President Buhari for nominating some of the best hands in the country to take Nigeria to the Next Level and expressed confidence that Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun would do same in the state.

He said, “We understand the pressure on Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun to form his cabinet, let me assure you that the Governor is a natural leader who always wants the best for the state. At the right time, the Governor would constitute his cabinet with people of impeccable character and capacity to deliver good governance and bring development to our people.”
